Heaven by Marc Jacobs x Kikokostadinov with ASICS SportStyle

Heaven by Marc Jacobs and Kiko Kostadinov, a year out from their first collaboration, are pleased to announce their second installment launching on 22.02.2024. This time a third collaborator, ASICS SportStyle joins, and the trio debuts the GEL-LOKROS™︎. The one-time release is paired with a series of garments with graphic works by Malaysian-born, Australian artist Spencer Lai and London based illustrator and animator Alice Bloomfield.

A year in the making the GEL LOKROS™︎ is paired with a series of washed slub jersey pieces adorned with cutaway necklines that display the sinister grandeur of two commissioned illustrations by Alice Bloomfield. These pieces are paired with a cameo necklace using an assemblage of glass beads that lead to its focal point- an illustrated cameo also by the illustrator.

The series of garments end with a commission of textural graphic works with proseby Lai. The artist uses repurposed materials from HeavenMarc Jacobs and pairsthem with screen printing methods, applied onto a washed denim skirt-trouser and amulti-wear hooded sweatshirt, a series of studs playfully adorn a black goredasymmetrical skirt.

A twisted takethe classic Mary-Jane meets with the GEL-KIRILT™ tooling,becoming the GEL- LOKROST™. Stars collide onto a quilted upper with a chaoticelastic fastening system in glistening metal like straps. A floral traction pattern isrevealed on the rubber toe cap highlighting the advanced tooling. 

The FLYTEFOAMT™PROPEL cushioning floral tread gestures towards a new level of aero dynamism.Present in glitter and pearlescent qualities, ASICS' GELTM cushioning is placed tactically within the midsole, aiding with the dispersion of force on impact, while the AHARPLUST™ heel plug aids durability for long term use. The silhouette is offered inthree colour combinations; VAPOR / COSMOS, FADED DENIM/ PALE AQUA andGRAPHITE GREY/ GUNMETAL.

Second time round, the collaboration is shot in its home city, New York, by Taiwanese photographer John Yuyi and modeled by Kiko Mizuhara,love story between her and her rat plays out on the subway and ultimately in Times Square.
