VEIN's AW2024 with a theme "awe" on the runway in Tokyo

VEIN by a Japanese designer Koki Enomoto released its Autumn/Winter 2024 on 5th February in Tokyo.

The "greeting", a catalyst for individuals to recognise each other and start communications, might seem like a mundane act, yet it unfolds countless times throughout our lives. Could it even represent the various characteristics, from small communities to cultural spheres?

Reflecting on this notion, designer Koki Enomoto reconsidered the structural relationships between the brand, collections, individual pieces of garments, and the wearers themselves in the Fall Winter 2024 collection, gazing into future relationships with an authenticity that could be fostered within them.

The Latin term “ave”, expressing “welcome” or "respect" and simple greeting, is a word directly linked to the runway show that opened the showroom in their atelier inviting guests, and statements encompassed by the collection. "I wanted to create a show that is like guests coming to visit our atelier, which is essentially my second home. It’s as if the show is the initial greeting that sparks a conversation.

"I hope to encounter something unexpected, where garments come to life throughout the communication process, in setting with just the right distance." designer Koki explained.
