The Art of Craftsmanship - a Project by Venetian Masters in 60th International Art Exhibition

Tod's celebrates the partnership with the Italian Pavilion and launched an exhibition “The Art of Craftsmanship - a Project by Venetian Masters”. Local Venetian artisans interpreted Tod’s iconic Gommino through their own techniques and spread the Venetian craftmanship and know-how to the world.

Andrea Bocelli performs at the gala for pre-opening 60th Biennale International Art Exhibition in Venice. Hosted by Diego Della Valle, CEO of Tod's group and his brother Andrea, Vice President of the group, many renowned guests from various fields such as fashion, art, music and films attended, included Keita Machida, Zhang Ziyi, Red velvet 's JOY, Nancy Zhang, Adrien Brody, Benedetta Porcaroli, Alessandro Borghi, Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Kelly Rutherford and more.

Bocelli thrilled the audience with a medley of his most beloved songs, from "Con Te Partirò" to "Falling in Love". The event took place in one of the most important historical sites in Venice, the Scuola Grande di San Rocco, known for its collection of paintings by Tintoretto. After the event, Tod’s will move these craft pieces to a museum in its headquarters at Marche where employees will enjoy them and see the possibilities to combine work and culture today.

The exhibition is in line with the company’s own strategy for brands and products. Tod's has funded several projects to support local communities and artistic heritage sites in Italy many years such as restoring the Colosseum, a globally recognizable symbol of Italy, in order to spread the brand's philosophy and promote Italian craftmanship to younger generations.

Currently Tod's, Hogan, Fay and Roger Vivier is under umbrella of Tod's group. 60th International Art Exhibition started from 20 April - 24 November at the Giardini, the Arsenale, and various sites in Venice.
