Live from the runway at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), Korean designer Kim Ayoung transports us to the nostalgic romance of 1980s Saint-Tropez resorts with the latest Spring/Summer 2027 collection for CAHIERS, titled L'Heure Dorée (Golden Hour) during Seoul Fashion Week.
Known for a high end approach to womenswear that celebrates fluid elegance, this season, forms are preserved while the weight is stripped away, allowing light and wind to define the silhouette.
The runway collection opened with natural tones of sand and twilight sky, transitioning seamlessly through romantic lavenders, warm corals, and vibrant magentas, before grounding the evening in deep indigo and timeless black.
By utilizing crinkle chiffon and lightweight linen, the collection achieves dramatic volumes that shift effortlessly with every step. From tier-ruffled maxi dresses to balloon-sleeved blouses and relaxed summer tailoring, each look embodies a graceful details, yet undeniable strength.
