Renowned Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi attended the 30th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in September 2025 for the world premiere for his latest film Final Piece (盤上の向日葵/ Banjo no Himawariand) he also stepped the red carpet with co-star Ken Watanabe, but the interview and press conference is suddenly cancelled.
He looks gorgeous in suit during make an appearance amidst more 3,000 fans at the outdoor theater in Busan Cinema Center, South Korea.
The Final Piece begins its story when an unidentified human skeleton is found in the mountains, along with a bag of valuable shogi (Japanese chess) pieces handmade by a master craftsman. This discovery leads detectives to investigate a young shogi prodigy and unravel a truth rooted in a painful past and "life choice". The film is an adaptation of the bestselling 2017 novel "Sunflower on the Shogi Board" by Yuko Yuzuki. The novel was also previously adapted into a TV series in 2019.
