Noh, a Japanese traditional mask dance is not only set to entertain at daylight, but they also perform next to the bonfire at night which is called "Takigi Noh"

It's said that the oldest form of Takigi Noh is first performed at Kofuku-ji temple in Nara last 1,200 years ago before developed in Japanese style in 14th century.

Isumi Yamada, a renowned Noh actor from Kongo-ryu, one of the 5 schools in Noh performance. Like his senior master Tatsunori Kongo from the same school, he also graduated from letter faculty at Doshisha university, one of the top universities in Japan.

Debuted on the stage since 6 years old and being training as a professional Noh actor in Kyoto, appears mainly on the stage both in Kyoto and Tokyo. His female role from the stories looks stunning when he appears in each scenes.

Currently, He performs on the stage and also making the Noh getting popular by training as a master in many regions and lecturing the workshops for beginners. He catching the youngsters' eyes to know about this oldest art through Internet by created his YouTube channel "Isumi Channel" and writing the Noh diary on his official LINE blog. What is "Takigi Noh"?

Takigi Noh, a kind of Noh mask dance perform at night near bonfire. This Japanese oldest performing art is designated as world heritage intangible culture by UNESCO

Originally adopted from China in Nara period and developed into Japanese style last 600 years ago.

In 14th century, Kan-ami, a renowned actor with great versatility playing roles both male and female character, first presented his work to a young shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu at Kasuga Taisha shrine in Nara. His son "Zeami", one of the actors in his play, became a popular star, apparently a lover in Yoshimitsu's court. He elegantly mixed the classical with modernity and Japanese with Chinese tradition and sense of arts.

Tatsuta (龍田) is selected to play by Kongo school for Kyoto Takigi Noh this year. The play is written by Konparu Zenchiku, a Zeami's son-in-law who created many renowned works like "Yang Gui-Fei" (楊貴妃) and "Ugetsu" (雨月, moon and the rain).

Kongo is one of the oldest 5 schools of Noh drama (Konparu, Kanze, Hosho, Kongo and Kita). Its dancing style is called "Mai Kongo" (舞金剛) because of its splendid and graceful movement, even in aggressive acting.

อิสุมิ ยามาดะ นักแสดงละครโนห์จากสำนัก "คงโก" หนึ่งใน 5 สำนักการแสดงโนห์ เช่นเดียวกับศิลปินโนห์รุ่นพี่ "ทัตสึโนริ คงโก" จากสำนักเดียวกัน และยังสำเร็จการศึกษาจากคณะอักษรศาสตร์มหาวิทยาลัยโดชิชา หนึ่งในมหาวิทยาลัยอันดับต้นของญี่ปุ่นอีกด้วย ออกแสดงบนเวทีตั้งแต่อายุ 6 ขวบที่เกียวโต มุ่งมั่นส่งต่อเรื่องราวของละครโบราณให้เยาวชนคนรุ่นใหม่และชาวต่างชาติได้รู้จักและสนุกกับละครโนห์ ผ่านทางช่องยูทูปของเขา "Isumi Channel" (いすみちゃんねる) และเขียนไดอารี่บนบล็อก LINE ด้วย

ละครทาคิกิ โนห์คืออะไร?

ทาคิกิ โนห์ เป็นการแสดงละครหน้ากากโบราณของญี่ปุ่นยามค่ำคืนริมกองไฟ

ละครโนห์รับรูปแบบมาจากจีนในสมัยนารา ต่อมาถูกพัฒนาให้เป็นแบบญี่ปุ่นช่วงศตวรรษที่ 14 ได้รับการขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นมรดกโลกจาก UNESCO ในปี 2001

ในศตวรรษที่ 14 "คันอามิ" นักแสดงละครโนห์ชื่อดัง ช่ำชองด้านการแสดงหลากหลายบททั้งชายและหญิง จัดแสดงละครชุดแรกถวายโชกุน "อาชิคางะ โยชิมิทสึ" และจักรพรรดิเมื่อครั้งเสด็จเยือนศาลเจ้าคาสุกะไทชะที่เมืองนารา โดยลูกชายของเขา "เซอามิ" ร่วมแสดงด้วย มีบันทึกกล่าวว่าโชกุนตกหลุมรักแรกพบกับเซอามิ เขาได้รับปูนบำเหน็จอย่างสูงในวังตระกูลโยชิมิทสึ เซอามิสามารถผสมผสานความคลาสสิคให้เข้ากับความทันสมัยในยุคนั้น ผสานศิลปะญี่ปุ่นให้เข้ากับจีนได้อย่างกลมกลืน ในยุคนั้นมีการตั้งสำนักละครโนห์ถึง 5 คณะ เป็นยุคทองของการละคร

บทละครเรื่อง "ทัตสึตะ" ได้รับเลือกให้แสดงโดยสำนัก "คงโก" ในงานทาคิกิ โนห์ที่เกียวโตปีนี้ แต่งโดย "เซ็นชิคุ" ลูกเขยของเซอามิเมื่อ 600 ปีก่อน ผู้มีผลงานเลื่องชื่อมากมาย อาทิ หยางกุ้ยเฟย และอุเก็ทสึ (雨月, จันทรากลางสายฝน) สำหรับลีลาท่ารำของสำนัก "คงโก" มีชื่อเรียกว่า “ไม คงโก” ดูอ่อนช้อย งามวิจิตรทุกอิริยาบถ แม้แต่บทที่ต้องแสดงอารมณ์เกรี้ยวกราด
