「BETTY CATROUX YVES SAINT LAURENT exhibition」 in Tokyo

After presented at Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Paris and MoCA in Shanghai, the Saint Laurent Paris by the Fondation Pierre Bergé brought a legendary fashion icon and her treasures to show at Terrada Warehouse in Tokyo until 11th December 2022.

In 1960s, designer Yves Saint Laurent met Betty Catroux at a nightclub before she became a legendary muse for the brand, as well as a fashion icon of SAINT LAURENT. 

The exhibition show her life when she started her career as a model, her works and the fashion movement in the maison, how she entered the fashion society even she doesn't have money at the beginning. She also introduced Yves Saint Laurent about the gender-fluid fashion for the maison's signature style.

In 2019, Betty donated 500 works to Pierre Bergé Yves Saint Laurent Foundation. 

"BETTY CATROUX YVES SAINT LAURENT The one and only women exhibition" by creative director Anthony Vaccarello, is a special exhibition which brought us back to know about the story of a fashion icon and how the SAINT LAURENT connect the past and the present.

ในปี 1960 ดีไซเนอร์อีฟแซง โลรองต์ ได้พบ Betty Catroux ที่ไนต์คลับแห่งหนึ่ง ก่อนที่เธอจะกลายเป็นแฟชั่นไอคอนของแบรนด์ SAINT LAURENT นิทรรศการถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวชีวิตของเธอตั้งแต่เริ่มอาชีพเป็นนางแบบ ผลงาน  ฐานะครอบครัวและความเป็นอยู่ที่ยากลำบากต้องดิ้นรนเข้าสังคมแฟชั่นทั้งที่ไม่มีเงินในช่วงแรก รวมทั้งเผยความเคลื่อนไหวในเมซง SAINT LAURENT และวงการแฟชั่นในฝรั่งเศส เบ็ตตี้ยังแนะนำดีไซเนอร์อีฟส์ แซ็งต์ โลรองต์เกี่ยวกับการนำเอาชุดแบบผู้ชายมาตัดเย็บสำหรับผู้หญิง หรือ genderless fashion ที่กลายมาเป็นสไตล์อันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของแบรนด์และสไตล์ในเวลาต่อมา

ในปี 2019 เบ็ตตี้บริจาคผลงาน 500 ชิ้นให้กับมูลนิธิ Pierre Bergé Yves Saint Laurent นิทรรศการ BETTY CATROUX YVES SAINT LAURENT โดยครีเอทีฟไดเรคเตอร์ Anthony Vaccarello พาเราย้อนเวลากลับไปยังวันวาน รู้จักตัวตนของแฟชั่นไอคอน และเสน่ห์ของแบรนด์ SAINT LAURENT ที่สามารถเชื่อมโยงอดีตเข้ากับปัจจุบันได้อย่างลงตัว
