8th KIMONO-IST Award Ceremony is announced at a building in Kasumigaseki district, Tokyo on 8th October 2024.
Actor Keita Machida is one of the award winners. He is known from a hit Japanese BL drama "Cherry Magic" and many period dramas including "Hikaru Kimi-e" telling the story of lady-in-waiting Murasaki Shikibu who working at the Kyoto court in 11th century.
"I personally feel that I'm close to kimonos because I'm actively challenging myself in period dramas, From that, I'm still honored to receive the award" Swipe right to see his urban style in kimonos.
The others who received KIMONO-IST AWARDS 2024 are, Figure Skater Daisuke Takahashi, actress Akane Hotta, Mariko Shinoda, Yoko Moriguchi, and Rino Katase. All appeared in stylish kimono which is coordinated by Jotaro Saito, general stylist of the Kimonoist Executive Committee.

The title "KIMONO-IST" is given to persons who can propose the new ways of living and happiness life in the new era, incorporating the new and evolving "Japanese traditions and culture" into their lifestyle.
This award will be given to those who would like to wear Kimono and evolving the Kimono culture for the future. The award will be selected by the executive committee through a stylist who will suggest the kimono in the future and promote kimono as the latest style and fashion, and it isn't limited only those who like kimono or who look good in kimono.

เคตะ มาจิดะ นักแสดงสุดฮ็อตเจ้าของฉายาพ่อหนุ่มไมโครเวฟ เป็นหนึ่งในผู้ชนะรางวัลครั้งนี้ เขาเป็นที่รู้จักกันดีจากซีรีส์วายญี่ปุ่นสุดฮิตเรื่อง "เชอรี่เมจิก" และละครแนวย้อนยุคหลายเรื่องรวมทั้งเรื่อง "ฮิคารุ คิมิเอะ" ที่กำลังออนแอร์ตอนนี้ ถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวของ "มุราซาคิ ชิกิบุ" นางสนองพระโอษฐ์ในพระราชวังหลวงเกียวโต ช่วงศตวรรษที่ 11
“โดยส่วนตัวแล้วผมรู้สึกว่าตัวเองใกล้ชิดกับชุดกิโมโน ด้วยความที่ตัวผมพยายามท้าทายตัวเองด้วยการรับบทในละครย้อนยุค ที่ทำให้ต้องสวมชุดกิโมโนบ่อยๆ ถึงอย่างนั้นก็ตาม ผมรู้สึกเป็นเกียรติที่ได้รับรางวัลนี้ครับ” เลื่อนไปชมลุ้คสุดชิคแนว "หนุ่มคนเมือง" กับชุดกิโมโนในสไตล์ที่สะท้อนตัวตนและความเป็นญี่ปุ่นของเขากัน
สำหรับผู้ชนะรางวัล KIMONO-IST AWARDS 2024 คนอื่นๆ ได้แก่ นักสเก็ตลีลา "ไดสุเกะ ทาคาฮาชิ", นักแสดงสาว "อากาเนะ ฮอตตะ", มาริโกะ ชิโนะดะ, โยโกะ โมริกูจิ และริโนะ คาตาเสะ โดยทุกคนสวมชุดกิโมโนสุดชิคบนเวทีที่จัดสไตล์ให้แต่ละคนได้สวยหล่อกันโดย "โจทาโร่ ไซโตะ" สไตลิสต์ประจำคณะกรรมการบริหารรางวัล KIMONO-IST
