The six Japanese celebrities who were announced for the "KIMONO-IST 2025" award winners this autumn; Akiko Nishina (actor), Katsunori Takahashi (actor), Maki Ohguro (singer), Erika Karata (actor), Neru Nagahama (actor) and Chika Edanami (violinist).
Violinist Chika Edanami, one of the winners this year said after received the grand prize.
"I'm truly honored to receive such a wonderful award. When I first saw this kimono, the words that came to my mind is 'dignity and passion'.
Classical music and the world of Japanese are both traditional arts. I feel a new energy through this kimono. I would like to pass on the music and arts to the future, transcending the genres"
Her look is styling by Kimono designer Jotaro Saito, unified in monochrome by the shade of black ink on the white background, combine the elegance and tranquility of the Kyogen actor.
Reason for the Award: Chika Edanami is known as artist in the world of classical violin. Her attitude and passion is conveying emotion through music, including her spirit of "Preserving tradition while challenging new forms of expression" is something that resonated with the Kimono culture.

สำหรับลุ้คของเธอในครั้งนี้จัดโดย "โจทาโร่ ไซโตะ" นักออกแบบชุดกิโมโน เจ้าของแบรนด์ JOTARO SAITO ถ่ายทอดความงามให้ดูกลมกลืนเป็นหนึ่งเดียวด้วยลายเส้นหมึกสีดำ ผสานความสง่างามและความนิ่งสงบในแบบนักแสดง "เคียวเง็น" หนึ่งในการแสดงละครโบราณของญี่ปุ่น
เหตุผลที่เธอได้รับเลือกให้เป็นผู้ชนะในปีนี้ เพราะเธอเป็นนักเล่นไวโอลินที่เปี่ยมด้วยทัศนคติ มุ่งมั่นถ่ายทอดอารมณ์ความรู้สึกผ่านงานดนตรี และมีจิตวิญญาณ "อนุรักษ์ประเพณีควบคู่ไปกับความท้าทายใหม่ๆ ในการแสดง" ที่สะท้อนให้เห็นวัฒนธรรมการแต่งชุดกิโมโน
