Shu uemura named Ichikawa Somegoro as brand ambassador | "อิชิกาวา โซเมโกโร่" แบรนด์แอมบาสเดอร์คนล่าสุดของ "ชู อูเอมูระ"

On March 2022, a global famous Japanese cosmetic brand "Shu uemura" appointed a Kabuki actor named Ichikawa Somegoro VIII as a new brand ambassador in Japan.

Kabuki performance is an old Japanese tradition with its iconic styles and history more 400 years. Actor Ichikawa is a new generation who also appears as an actor on TV and fashion model. He adopted the heritage and balancing between classic and modernity. He have to paint his face and cleanse his Kabuki's makeup after long practicing and performing everyday.

"I've always used Shu Uemura's the cleansing oil regularly, it'm honour to be a Japanese ambassador. I will pass various kind of Japanese traditions to the future including Kabuki performance. So, What can we do for the younger generations? I feel,  my way of thinking and my challenges are linked to the story of Shu Uemura"

Like Father, like son. He is an eldest son of renowned Kabuki actor Matsumoto Koshiro X who is known as a popular movie star from many works like Asia's hit dramatic film Onmyo-ji or a May-December love story series "Brand" with actress Miki Imai.

Shu Uemura just launched its new 2022 Spring/Summer Collection on 22 April 2022.
