BED j.w. FORD, one of menswear collections from Japan released its Autumn Winter 2024 in Paris Fashion Week with a theme "after (that) scene" at LYCĖE HENRI IV on 21 January 2024.
Designer Shinpei Yamagishi looked back on "those days''. It's a journey to pursuit a fascinating alternative which were emerged between the denials and affirmations boundaries.
Shinpei had previously shown no interest in retrospective concept on his design. The shadows of BED j.w. FORD in the old days brought him a sense of bitterness and a future-oriented passion. "In another side of me, I'm looking into the future while talking about the past".
The silhouette around the shoulders and elbows fit harmoniously with the wearers' bodies, created an elegant look and comfortable to wear. Cut-outs at the waistline, crushed details, casual check pattern textiles and eye-catching vivid colors signifying the antagonism and showcasing a sense of unfamiliarity on the familiar parts.
