Following its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, US-based Korean director Sue Kim ’s documentary "Always Lalisa" delivers an intimate look at a superstar at a crossroads.
The film beautifully chronicles Lisa's self-proclaimed “year of independence”. It captures the pressure of recording her solo album Alter Ego, making her acting debut in The White Lotus, and preparing for her monumental solo stage at Coachella. While early critics note the film leans slightly into a safe portrait rather than a gritty expose, Lisa’s presence keeps you glued to the screen.
