KAMIYA presented AW26 collection with a theme "ACT COOL"

As Tokyo prepares for its Autumn/Winter 2026 season, all eyes are fixed on designer Koji Kamiya from KAMIYA with a theme "ACT COOL" on 13th February 2026.

Following the resounding success of his S/S 26 presentation, designer redefines the boundaries of Japanese streetwear within the brutalist confines of Tokyo’s industrial landscape.

Established in 2023, KAMIYA has rapidly ascended from  Maison Mihara Yasuhiro and joined SOSU's street label MYne. Witnessing the evolution of Koji Kamiya’s universe!

KAMIYA SS2026 released in Tokyo's Terada warehouse

KAMIYA S/S2026

“I wanted to give expression to something new. There’s more than what is currently being shown.”

My self-assuredness toward the style developed with KAMIYA is paired with an uneasy feeling about the stereotypes that linger around established styles.

Stuck in the darkness of these thoughts with no exit in sight, I came upon “The Darkness That You Fear” by The Chemical Brothers. Contrary to its title, this song’s phrasing and melody exuded strength and hope, as if it were illuminating the path for the brand to take.

The Spring / Summer 2026 Collection has extracted the dressy and sleek essence that lies deep within KAMIYA while embracing a rude and boyish American-casual style. The dress shirts’ dull luster produced by their blend of cotton and silk, or materials like cupra, have serendipitous converged with crush processing, revealing how the code that is KAMIYA can be manifested even beyond where established expression intersects with differing cultures.

“I’d love to turn even darkness into light,” I muttered quietly.
