Seoul Fashion Week SS2024

What's new in Seoul fashion week this year? It backed like it was in the old days and even  getting bigger when the Seoul Fashion Week Organisation announced that the physical shows increased more 30 brands on the runways during 5 - 9 September 2023.

NewJeans as the Seoul Fashion Week S/S2024 ambassador also make an appearance to perform the opening show on 5 September 2023.



■ Maison Nica
Maison nica by Korean designer "Monica Koh" released its S/S2024 on 6 September 2023 at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (D.D.P).

The name "nica" is derived from designer's name "Monica". The new  theme is Inspired by the story of red wine god Dionysus and King Midas, adding the sense of elegance through the lavish fabrics and vivid colours like blue, purple, silver and gold. King Midas is known in Greek mythology about his ability to turn everythings he touched into gold.

■ #whysocerealz! 
Designer Lee Sung-bin from Seoul-based apparel brand #whysocerealz! shows about hopes, friendship, music and love for his Spring and Summer 2024 collection.

The models also showed off their acting skills through various feelings like they are performing on the stage with stunning lights and gigantic monitor.

■ HOLY NUMBER 7 
HOLY NUMBER 7 by duo-designer Kyoungho Choi and Hyunheui Song, released its S/S2024 under a theme "Contender", presents the "Beauty of Challenging Dreams" through the unique sense arising from the designer's remarkable background and experience as a professional boxer on the kickboxing stadium-like runway.

BIG PARK
Big Park by designer Park Youn-Soo launched its SS2024 collection in Seoul Fashion Week through an inspiration from ink brush paintings in various colors.

■ METROCITY
METROCITY Milano SS24 collection in Seoul Fashion Week under a theme DEAR STUDIO 54, inspired by Portofino city and Studio 54 disco club.

Portofino is a luxury resort in Italy where is a favourite place by many renowned celebrities around the world like Monaco's Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren, Hollywood star Brad Pitt, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Button.

Studio 54 is a disco club in Manhattan, New York, founded in 1977. It was once a hip place for many stylish icons of the era. Its glamorous scene are so unique in those days and remain a source of inspiration for many artists and brands until today.

Greedilous by designer Younhee Park released its Spring Summer 2024 collection at Seoul Fashion Week on 6 September 2023, retelling the new story with floral motifs and iconic graphics represents Greedilous' DNA.

BLR
Seoul-based streetwear brand BLR released its Spring Summer 2024 on the runway in Seoul Fashion Week. For upcoming seasons, designer Alexander Gwon represents the rebel spirits, youthful and freedoms through many cool colors such as dark blue, silver, white and black and various materials include denim fabrics.
