After making a big splash with its World Premiere at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF2026), his psychological thriller INHERIT (คุณยายวรนาฏ) is officially heading to S.Korea for its Asia Premiere at the 31st Busan International Film Festival (BIFF2026)!

Selected for the Open Cinema section, Inherit will screen outdoors under the stars at Busan Cinema Center this October.

Based on a hit Thai horror drama, Mai Davika Hoorne as a wealthy matriarch who returns home looking completely unchanged after disappearing for 50 years. But she hasn't returned for a happy reunion, she is the human vessel for an ancient centipede spirit from Sukutai capital last 700 years ago, and she’s ready to pass her terrifying generational curse down to her granddaughter, played by Baipor Thitiya .

39th TIFF to Open with Sukiyaki and Close with Colony; Centerpiece is Godzilla Minus Zero

The Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) is  to announce three spotlight screenings that will occur during the 39th edition. The festival’s Opening Film will be Sukiyaki, a heartwarming music-themed entertainment revealing the untold story behind “Sukiyaki”— the historic song that topped the Billboard charts and remains one of the world’s best-selling tunes.

The Centerpiece will be Godzilla Minus Zero, the epic sequel from the Oscar-winning Visual Effects team behind Godzilla Minus One, showcasing the next evolution in the global Godzilla phenomenon. It is the first Japanese production to be filmed for Imax.

The TIFF Closing Film will be the Korean non-stop action-thriller Colony, directed by Yeon Sang-ho of Train to Busan (2016). The film, depicting a desperate struggle for survival against infected hosts driven by an advanced collective intelligence, had its world premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and swept the box office in Korea and other Asian countries.

Sukiyaki tells the dramatic stories of three artists who inspired people in postwar Japan, interwoven with a collection of musical masterpieces. We are delighted to open the festival with this moving film, which stars three of today’s most prominent Japanese actors.

Godzilla Minus Zero is a true sequel to Godzilla Minus One, one of the standouts in the Godzilla series, and it brings a powerful new interpretation of Godzilla, delivering a level of surprise that far exceeds expectations. It is a masterpiece that was truly meant to be made in these challenging times.

Colony delivered the greatest excitement and emotional impact among the films at this year’s Cannes. While an overwhelming number of zombie films have been produced, this film makes us realize that the genre still possesses untapped potential.

Spotted in Tokyo: Soduk wraps up Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO with its SS27 collection titled “LOVE”

Okinawa-born designer Tsukasa Kudo grounds this season's concept in the comfort of everyday intimacy, likening the collection's creation to "making dinner out of whatever happens to be left in the refrigerator."

It is an exploration of quiet care, sustainability, and taking responsibility for the garments we put out into the world. Set inside a beautifully house-like wood structure at Shibuya PARCO, models lived through mundane moments, reading, switching outfits, and sharing space.

The garments themselves tell stories of the  human touch: upcycled archival pieces dipped in Ryukyu indigo, hand-embroidered denim, and vibrant charm-accented knitwear, alongside an exciting casual capsule with Okinawa’s own Orion Beer.

A surprise live acoustic performance by singer-songwriter Kaneko Ayano, whose soulful track "Sabishikunai" score-tracked the finale walk at Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO
