PLAN75 premiered in Cannes 2022 | ภาพยนตร์ญี่ปุ่นเรื่อง PLAN75 เปิดตัวในงานเทศกาลหนังเมืองคานส์ 2022

PLAN75 shows a new trouble which can be seen not only in Japan, but it also happening in many countries in Asia now, when the number of aging population increasing yearly and young people working harder to support the senior population and the "Aging population hate crime" is forming unexpectedly in the near future. The film follows 3 main characters: Michi (Chieko Baisho), Hiromu (Hayato Isomura) and Maria (Stefanie Arianne).

In Japan, many Japanese were taught to live without make any troubles to others. The government in the future kindly offers PLAN75, a euthanasia plan for free to person who are 75+ and if they don't want to be a burden to others and country's economic, they can choose to sacrifice to be killed by mercy.

Hiromu (Hayato Isomura), a young man who looks so cheerful and working for PLAN75, he offers people this campaign. Actually, he proposing them the death. Michi (Chieko Baisho), an 80s' lady who still working as chambermaid in hotels, interested this plan since her friends died and she living alone and Maria (Stephanie Arianna) a caregiver for senior citizens who later joined PLAN75 for higher income.

Back to a mass massacre incident in 2016 at Tokyo when a 30's man broke windows and killed 19 disables and seniors one by one in a care house. "I want Japan to be a country where the disabled can be euthanised", he confessed. This news inspired director Chie Hayakawa made a short film before adapted to the long version.

In the old days, Asian people were taught that have a long life is best life and so beautiful and being senior is highly respected person. Today, this unexpected situation are happening and transforming to a new dystopian society. One of the most interesting films in Canne Film Festival this year, will be released in Japan theaters on 17 Jun 2022.

The film is also supported by Agency for Cultural Affairs Government of Japan and Ile de France Region.

PLAN75 เสนอประเด็นประชากรสูงวัยซึ่งไม่เพียงแค่ในญี่ปุ่นเท่านั้น แต่กำลังเกิดขึ้นในหลายประเทศทั่วเอเชีย เมื่อจำนวนคนชราเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็วทุกปี ทำให้คนหนุ่มสาวต้องทำงานหนักขึ้นเพื่อให้รัฐบาลจัดสรรงบประมาณไปดูแลสวัสดิการคนชรา สร้างความเกลียดชังนำไปสู่อาชญกรรมทำร้ายคนชรา ในภาพยนตร์ ดำเนินเรื่องผ่านตัวละคร 3 คน คือ มิจิ (ชิเอโกะ ไบโช), ฮิโรมุ (ฮายาโตะอิโซมุระ) และมาเรีย (สเตฟานี่ อาเรียนน่า)

ชาวญี่ปุ่นมักถูกสอนให้ดำรงชีวิตด้วยความเกรงใจ ไม่สร้างความเดือดร้อนให้ผู้อื่น รัฐบาลในอนาคตพยายามหาทางออก เสนอ PLAN75 ขึ้น เป็นแผนการุณฆาต ให้คนชราที่มีอายุ 75 ปีขึ้นไปที่ไม่อยากเป็นภาระผู้อื่น และช่วยเศรษฐกิจของประเทศ สามารถเลือกสละตัวเองด้วยการถูกฆ่าอย่างปราณี โดยไม่มีค่าใช้จ่าย แค่พล็อตหนังก็ทำให้ผู้คนฉุกคิดถึงอนาคตของโลกเรา รู้สึกเจ็บปวดสะเทือนใจสุดๆ

ฮิโรมุ (ฮายาโตะ อิโซมูระ) ภายนอกดูแจ่มใสร่าเริง ทำงานในโครงการ PLAN75 ของรัฐบาล ให้คำปรึกษาสำหรับผู้สนใจแคมเปญนี้ จริงๆ แล้ว เขากำลังหยิบยื่นความตายให้กับผู้คน

มิจิ (ชิเอโกะ ไบโช) หญิงชราวัย 80 ที่ยังทำงานเป็นพนักงานทำความสะอาดในโรงแรม สนใจแผนนี้ ตั้งแต่เพื่อนสนิทเสียชีวิต เธอต้องอยู่คนเดียวอย่างสิ้นหวัง ส่วนมาเรีย (สเตฟานี อาเรียนนา) พนักงานดูแลคนชราตัดสินใจเข้าร่วม PLAN75 เพราะมีรายได้สูงขึ้น

ย้อนกลับไปยังเหตุสังหารหมู่เมื่อปี 2559 ชายวัย 30 ปีทุบกระจกและฆ่าคนพิการและคนชรา 19 คนในบ้านพักคนชราที่โตเกียว ต่อมาเขาสารภาพว่า "ผมอยากให้ญี่ปุ่นเป็นประเทศที่คนไร้สมรรถภาพสามารถถูกการุณยฆาตได้" เป็นแรงบันดาลใจที่ผู้กำกับได้หยิบยกมาทำหนังสั้นแล้วจึงดัดแปลงเป็นเวอร์ชั่นภาพยนตร์

ในอดีต คนเอเชียเชื่อกันว่าการมีอายุยืนยาว นับเป็นบุญอันประเสริฐสุุด ผู้อาวุโสต่างได้รับความเคารพนับถือ ปัจจุบัน สถานการณ์ที่ไม่มีใครคาดคิดกำลังเกิดขึ้น และแปรสภาพเป็นสังคมรูปแบบใหม่ที่ยากจะคาดเดา PLAN75 เป็นหนึ่งในภาพยนตร์ที่น่าสนใจที่สุดในเทศกาลหนังเมืองคานส์ปีนี้ กำหนดเข้าฉายในโรงภาพยนตร์ที่ญี่ปุ่นวันที่ 17 มิถุนายน

ภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้ยังได้รับการสนับสนุนจากกระทรวงวัฒนธรรม ภายใต้การกำกับของรัฐบาลญี่ปุ่นและเขต Ile de France ของฝรั่งเศสด้วย
