Tokyo fashion week is backed again this mid-Summer. Not only few main halls in Shibuya district, but they also held at many venues around Tokyo city from Shibuya Hikarie, underground passage, art studio to National Museum. Since the fashion is less mentioned during pandemic days, now the nightmare was gone with many new hope and new creativities in post pandemic era. We will introduce the latest movement from capital of fashion in Asia with several brands in the Rakuten Fashion Week S/S2024. The event was held between 28 August - 2 September 2023.
KANAKO SAKAI
KANOKO SAKAI is the opening show in Rakuten Fashion Week this season, presented by a Japanese designer with the same name of the brand Kanako Sakai. The brand used variety of materials and color combinations for daily wears.
After debuted 2 years previously, now it was her first runway show in Tokyo with a sense of simplicity and genderless fashion. The shimmering long tail earrings also caught the eyes on the stage.
This white sweater is embroidered with a big star motif and the word "Welcome" in many languages such as Japanese, French, Filipino, Chinese, and Korean.

KAMIYA
Tokyo-based streetwear brand KAMIYA is one of the most stunning shows in Tokyo Fashion Week this season, especially when all models are walking on the runway like it was raining on the street at the finale of KAMIYA S/S2024 collection show.
KAMIYA runway show has been launched from 2023 fall/winter collection after changed its name from "MYne" to "KAMIYA", the new spring and summer 2024 collection is strikingly started by a big truck loaded with many speakers hit the wall at the carpark inside Tokyo National Stadium and then models start walking on the runway. This show is also inspired by the lyrics of a Billy Princeton's popular song "Nothing From Nothing".

WILDFRÄULEIN
WILDFRÄULEIN is an unisex apparel brand by a Japanese designer Roop Shimamura, released its Spring/Summer 2024 collection at Shibuya Hikarie under a theme "The Prayer".
Shimamura's father is an architect, he experienced many kinds of arts such as architecture, dancing, painting and antiques since he was a child. The clothes is made based on couture and tailor made 3D cutting patterns that conform to the body. As a painter, designer Shimamura also creates his original graphic prints and embroidery designs.

YOHEI OHNO by a Japanese designer ōno Yohei released its latest collection at a studio in Daikanyama district on 2 September 2023.
Inspired by a family photo album that designer found at his home. Redefining a meaning of love from the past, struggle to living in present and unexpected tomorrow.

SHOOP
Tokyo and Madrid-based SHOOP by designer Yohei Oki and Miriam Sanz Fernandez released its Spring/Summer 2024 collection at the underground passage inside Japan National Stadium. SHOOP mixes various genres and several cultures around the world, They reconstruct it to re-interpret. The result is a brand based on contemporary wear combined with the elegance of classic garments and small details. They also won Tokyo Fashion Award in 2020.

SHINYAKOZUKA
SHINYAKOZUKA released its spring/summer 2024 at National Stadium (Olympics stadium). It's issue #4 with a theme "Wonderful Wander", inspired by a renowned 19th century Japanese novelist "Natsume Soseki" who is known from novel "Kokoro" and interpreted "I love You" as "The moon is beautiful, isn't it?"

The beauty of Thai handicrafts and local wisdom is presented elegantly through the Thai silk, like this charming looks created by a Tokyo-based Thai designer Phoovadej Larprojpaiboon. This season , ablankpage released its Spring/Summer 2024 collection under a theme "Expired" with Royal Thai Embassy Tokyo on 2 September 2023. After the show, Thai street snack culture were introduced to all guests by collaborating with Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo.
