Kentaro Maeda and Takaya Matsutani from "One Last Throw" in Tokyo International Film Festival

Glimpse of the conversation between two actors from "One Last Throw" ( 栄光のバックホーム ) 

Kentaro Maeda and Takaya Matsutani recently appeared together on the stage for the Japan premiere of their upcoming film "One Last Throw", at 38th Tokyo International Film Festival.

On the stage, they talking about their roles in the film. Based on the true story of a former Hanshin Tigers baseball player named "Shintaro Yokota". Takaya takes a main role as Yokota, while Kentaro plays as his senior "Fumiya Hojo". 

Kentaro confessed that he had not played baseball for long time since elementary school, so he received guidance from Takaya who was a former high school baseball player. Kentaro also praised Takaya's passion during playing together and mentioned that Takaya even practiced with him on his day-off.

"One Last Throw" is set to release in Japan nationwide on November 28, 2025. Starring by Matsutani Takaya, Suzuki Kyoka, Takahashi Katsunori, Maeda Kentaro, Ihara Rikka, Yamazaki Hirona, Kusakawa Takuya. The latest film by director Jun Akiyama.

เคนทาโร่สารภาพว่าตัวเขาไม่ได้เล่นเบสบอลมาตั้งแต่ชั้นประถม ได้รับคำแนะนำมาำมายจากทาคายะผู้เคยเป็นอดีตนักเบสบอลสมัยมัธยมปลาย ยิ่งไปกว่านั้น เคนทาโร่ยังชื่นชมความมุ่งมั่นของทาคายะระหว่างฝึกซ้อมด้วยกัน และยังเผยความลับอีกว่าทาคายะมาฝึกซ้อมด้วยกันทั้งๆ ที่เป็นวันหยุด

"One Last Throw" make its world premiere in Tokyo

Based on a true story of a young athlete. Yokota Shintaro, at 18, fulfilled his childhood dream with a dazzling baseball pro debut in Kansai !

Embraced by a loving family and his team, he has a bright career lay ahead-until a medical examination delivers a diagnosis that no young athlete should ever hear: a brain tumor. Driven by a single desire to play baseball and supported by those who never stop believing in his comeback, he fights on until his final game, which sees a miracle that no one imagined.

With his natural competitive spirit and a personality that endears him to everyone, Shintaro became a great player, even in the tough world of professional baseball. He was selected as a starter for the first team in the opening game of 2016, and got his first hit. Just when it seemed like a smooth sailing baseball career awaited him, something strange began to happen to Shintaro's body.

On early Autumn, it was our first time to meet Kentaro Maeda (前田拳太郎), a renowned Japanese actor from LDH's Gekidan Exile.

Not only because he's a popular rising star with huge fans in Japan, but before he appear on our coverage, we heard that he will celebrate his birthday fan meeting in Hangzhou China in next 3 days and so hot in Asia. Through the Tokusatsu work from "Kamen Rider" (仮面ライダー) to Japanese BL drama "I Can't Reach You" (君には届かない, Kimi niwa Todokanai), his numerous roles and abilities reflected his passion for the acting career and growing in global stage, made us have some questions and ready to hear his answers.

The conversation lasts almost 30 minutes by sitting casually at a historic temple in Seoul, South Korea. While we are talking, the Korean traditional cuisine in Buddhist monk style were exclusively arranged at the reception party before the sunset.

Kentaro is an actor who has had his work released for us to watch every year since entering the film industry. In terms of his acting career, we've seen him in different roles in various stories. But for the new movie, "One Last Throw" (栄光のバックホーム) , we'll see him in a new role that we've never seen before. Don't miss to read our exclusive interview this month.

Japanese actor Kentaro Maeda from LDH's Gekidan Exile with a legendary Korean designer Park Youn-soo from BIG PARK at the afterparty in Seoul.

Japanese actor Kentaro Maeda gained significant global recognition for starring in a global hit BL drama "I Can't Reach You" (君には届かない, Kimi ni wa Todokanai), "Kamen Rider", "Fureru" and "One Last Throw" (栄光のバックホーム).

The brand is headed by Park Youn-soo, a prominent figure in the Korean fashion industry who has been designing since 1985. The brand has showcased its collections at global fashion capitals including New York, Paris and Seoul fashion week, and launched a design collaboration with Estée Lauder in 2008-2011.
