New BL drama 10DANCE on netflix

Reminded to the global success of "Shall We Dance?" and "Happy Together", 10DANCE has captured global audiences by blending elite ballroom competition with intense character-driven BL drama. 

The story follows Shinya Suzuki (Ryoma Takeuchi), a Latin dance champion and Shinya Sugiki (Keita Machida), a Ballroom champion, as they agree to train each other to compete in the grueling '10 Dance' competition. As their bodies entwine on the dance floor, the line between professional rivalry and personal passion begins to blur.

Netflix Japan’s live-action adaptation of BL manga 10DANCE was released worldwide on 18 Dec 2025. Within its first week, the film became a significant international hit, accumulating over 2.4 million views and ranking among the top non-English movies on the platform.

Directed by Keishi Otomo (Rurouni Kenshin), co-starring by Ryoma Takeuchi and Keita Machida. Although two-hour runtime was too short to cover  entire manga story, but it became the best Boy's Love  production on Netflix since it released this genre!

Netflix original reality dating show "The BOYFRIEND Season 2" revealed the lead actors and set to release on 13th January 2026.

Japan-Korea Production Film "Good News" premiered in BIFF2025

Taiwanese actor Shu Qi from the latest film" The Resurrected"

Renowned Taiwanese actor Shu Qi from Netflix's original series "The Resurrected" at Q&A talk session after received its "World Premiere" at 30th Busan International Film Festival on 19 September 2025.

Starring by Shu Qi, Lee Sin-je (The Pang Bros' The Eye), Fu-Meng Bo with two Thai superstar Patrick Nattawat (Chuang 2021, INTO1 member) and "Weir" Sukollawat. Co-directed by Leste Chen and Hsu Chao-jen and filmed in Thailand.

The discussion of director and actors from The Resurrected" in Busan International Film Festival

Taiwanese actor Shu Qi (Millennium Mambo, The Eye 2), Malaysia-born Hong Kong actor Lee Sin-je (Pang Bros' The Eye) and director Leste Chen (eternal summer) from Netflix's "The Resurrected" talking about the film after its world premiere in 30th Busan International Film Festival.

The discussion in Busan focused on the series "The Resurrected", in which Shu Qi and Lee Sinje starred together for the first time in their acting careers.

Both actors showed their excitement about working together for the first time. Lee Sin-je noted that they developed a "great unspoken chemistry" despite the heavy subject matter, and Shu Qi mentioned how her character was transformed by the encounter with Lee's character. 

Shu Qi mentioned she rarely takes the role of housewife, it was intrigued by the emotional depth of the role. Lee Sin-je discussed the challenge of playing as a mother driven by immense despair and revenge, and the difficulty of stepping out of that character after filming.

Leste Chen revealed that the core idea for the series came to him 20 years ago during his first visit to the Busan festival. While the initial idea was about revenge, his focus shifted over time to explore a theme of forgiveness and redemption. Director and casts shared anecdotes about filming in Thailand, noted that the lighthearted atmosphere on set, often due to Chen's jokes, helped ease the tension of the dark material. 

All expressed about a hope from the series, it would resonate with global audiences, also appreciated the opportunity for a Taiwanese series to premiere on a global stage like in the Busan International Film Festival before its release worldwide on Netflix.
