On 17 October 2023, a big hit Japanese bl drama "Ossan's Love" is confirmed for its new Thailand version. After remade in Hong Kong during pandemic, "Ossan's Love" hit bl fans again globally.
Starring by Earth Pirapat and Mix Sahaphap who are known well for their co-starring roles in many hit Thai bl series such as "A Tale of Thousand Stars" and "Midnight Series: Moonlight Chicken". The "Ossan's Love Thailand" is set to air on GMMTV in winter 2024.
At the announcement, Japanese actor Kei Tanaka, Kotaro Yoshida and Kento Hayashi from the original series also greeted to all fans.
Kei Tanaka said “I'm so happy that Ossan's Love, a series we starred, will be remade by Thailand's GMM TV". kotaro Yoshida continuely said "I hope everyone in Thailand will enjoy Ossan's Love, and Kento Hayashi also shared his feelings and cheered to Thailand team "We're also exciting to see what kind of drama it will be in Thailand''
"Ossan's Love" depicted the story of Soichi Haruta (Kei Tanaka), a single office worker in his 30s who lives with his mom and wants to get married. He is so childish and then his mother decided to leave him a house to let him learn how to live independently. Unfortunately, all people who came to his life walked away. Nobody care to him, but Haruta found Musashi Kurosawa (Kotaro Yoshida) his boss in 60s who hides a pure girlish heart and Ryota Maki (Kento Hayashi), a co-worker who stays with Haruta as a roommate liked him. It became like an ageless and genderless's love story.
Before Thai version begin, "Ossan's Love - Returns-" is previously aired on TV Asahi every Friday from 5 January 2024.
