Marika MATSUMOTO shines on the runway in Japan Jewelry Best Dresser Awards 2026

Marika MATSUMOTO was honored as the 40s category winner at the 37th Japan Jewelry Best Dresser Awards on July 4, 2026, during the TOKYO JEWELRY FES '26 Summer.

She took to the runway draped in extraordinary diamonds and fine jewels valued at 150 million yen, showcasing the ultimate fusion of contemporary haute fashion and cinematic grace. 

Marika stepped into the spotlight in 2000, making her acting debut in Rokuroku. She achieved  international recognition by voicing the iconic character Rikku in the the acclaimed video games Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2. 

Known for her signature voice and emotional depth, her role arrived in the 2018 drama "Holiday Love". Her portrayal of a calculating yet deeply human antagonist sparked a national obsession and coined the term "kai-en" (#怪演, bizarre acting). Her acting are defined by an uncompromising to explore the unvarnished part of human emotion.

Minami HAMABE (浜辺美波) matched her angelic white dress with a selection of majestic sapphire and diamond high jewelry that added a vivid contrast to her silhouette in the 37th Japan Jewelry Best Dresser Award ceremony. The dazzling stones caught every camera flash during her walk on the runway.
